What’s for an MBA degree?

People may wonder what benefits can an MBA degree brings to its holder, obviously they also have the answer. We all know what benefits can the holder benefit from. The advantages are far greater than what we may have imagined. But MBAs from different parts of the world vary in differing degrees as well. The significance of the program in one country may not be as significant as how another country sees it. Like in the Philippines for example, an MBA degree may not bring the exact results one might have thought. It has no impact at all in one’s position in a company. Businessmen and executives from the top ladder are not the ones who finished an MBA course, but rather mostly the ones that had the influences.
On the other hand, many companies from other parts of the world especially the United States now see an MBA education as an essential management qualification. Without an MBA, it is impossible to get a good position in multi-national companies. The status alone has a huge impact in obtaining an ideal position, which is a fact what most business graduates are aiming for. The degree has a significant potential of improving the owner’s status in the business world. And this would sound unfortunate for the ones who cannot afford it although having the potential as keen as the ones who could. An MBA degree may be a plus but a wiser boss should also think that it is the work experience and work performance in the field that would eventually count the most. Practical knowledge is always a valuable asset.
Some might say that the possession of an MBA status will not affect the owner’s potential compensation package, but this is applicable only to some practical countries. An MBA is only a degree unless you are able to sell to the employers the knowledge and skills earned during the training process. The relationship between MBAs and salaries is made difficult as not every company can officially declare salaries on their books. However, any one having an MBA had proved itself what it can do to self-esteem, enhancing one’s confidence and giving the student a clear idea of the potential he has in identification with the skills and abilities that he can sell to the international market, his eventual individual contribution to the global market and what he can actually do not only for himself but to any big companies or organizations that demand his kind of skills.
